Scotland is home to countless pretty villages that are all special in their own way, but everyone will have visited at least one that felt noticeably fancy.According to the research from Savills and published by The Telegraph, there is a definitive list of the 'poshest' villages in the UK — including quite a few Scots locations.The list, which includes the "smartest rural locations" throughout Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, reveals how much properties are priced at on average in each one.
For anybody keen to move home in the new year, it could provide some helpful inspiration. Due to the lingering effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, prices for countryside properties have seen a significant rise over the past few years as a result of increased demand.
Unfortunately, this means that making that dream move out of the city and into a tranquil village can be a very pricey prospect.The Scots villages that are among the 'poshest' according to The Telegraph are Strathtay in Perthshire, Gullane in East Lothian, and Elie in Fife.
Elsewhere, the village of Killearn in Stirling and Falkirk also appears on the roundup.In Strathtay, which is situated in a scenic position on the River Tay, a property will costs £287,476 on average.
