Strathaven Academy has been ranked as the best school in South Lanarkshire with the publication of the latest table listing the percentage of pupils attaining five Highers.The Times has once again revealed the top performing schools in the country - along with the worst - for 2018/19.Strathaven is 22nd out of 344 with 58 per cent of pupils attaining five Highers.
Schools in East Kilbride fare less well with Duncanrig Secondary coming out on top in the town at number 68 (44 per cent with five Highers).
This is followed by St Andrew's and St Bride's High School at 88 (42 per cent) with Calderglen High languishing at 141 (35 per cent).
