'Scaremongering' Piers Morgan slammed for 'shouting over' Dr Hilary about coronavirus on GMB

Piers Morgan was slammed by viewers today for interrupting and shouting over Dr Hilary on Good Morning Britain today, Fans of the ITV daytime show blasted the presenter, 54, for "scaremongering" as he spoke to the doctor with co-presenter Susanna Reid.

Dr Hilary appeared on the programme to give an update on the virus and why the government had chosen not to close schools yet.

He said: "The time to close schools is when we get a hotspot where we know there's a lot of the virus and a lot of infections and it would be sensible to close schools in that particular area.

But when we stop testing, we don't know where those hotspots rare." Piers interjected to point out that New York had closed schools but London "has no idea what to do".
