Saturday Night Takeaway was criticised this evening for airing a prank involving Gordon Ramsay amid recent controversy over his treatment of staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this week it was revealed that the chef, who is worth an estimated £185million, has laid off 500 members of staff after temporarily closing his restaurants following government advice about covid-19.

So some viewers were furious to see that the ITV show had chosen to show a prank involving the chef during their highlights show this evening.
