Saturday’s unfortunate abandonment of the Paddy Power Imperial Cup Meeting at Sandown due to rain means that ITV will now show three races from Ayr, as well as the scheduled same number of contests at Wolves ahead of next week’s Cheltenham Festival extravaganza.
The mares’ handicap hurdle (2.30pm) at Ayr can go the way of Coylton conjuror Ian Duncan’s Jessiemac (11/4) who has been tremendously consistent this season winning three times and being placed second on another two occasions in seven starts.
But a closer perusal of those stats reveals that she is deadly at Ayr where in three of those outings she has finished second once (on her seasonal bow) and won twice in three runs.
