Following the shocking news of her second cancer diagnosis in less than a year, Sarah, Duchess of York is determined to remain as cheerful and as upbeat as she always has done, despite this latest blow to her family.
It was revealed the Duchess has a form of skin cancer - something which she is tragically familiar with as her father, Major Ronald Ferguson, also had the same diagnosis.
Speaking to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond spoke about how "distressing" this time will be for the York Family. "This is awful news for Sarah… especially when she was making such a good recovery from breast cancer and was enjoying rekindled popularity both with the public and within the Royal Family itself," she said. "It’s obviously distressing for her, her daughters and ex-husband.
I imagine the very worst time is right now as she waits to hear whether the skin cancer has been caught in time. "Sadly she will be familiar with the process… having watched her father go through it.
