Sarah Ferguson has broken her silence for the first time since reports emerged that she has not been invited to the King's Coronation.She made her first post on social media since reports emerged of the alleged snub.It was reported at the end of last week that 'Fergie', the former wife of shamed royal Prince Andrew, has not made the guest list for the event on May 6.

It has been claimed that Charles decided against inviting his former sister-in-law to the ceremony.However, she still shares a home with Andrew and attended the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II last year, suggesting she has not been cast out of the Royal Family altogether, the Mirror reports.

She has not commented on the claims made in several newspapers last week.She has, however, since taken to social media to promote her new book and to share a fundraising appeal for a friend who is trying to reach Camp 1 on Mount Everest to raise awareness of motor neurone disease.

She has a new historical novel, A Most Intriguing Lady, that was released last month.In the fundraising tweet, she wrote: "This is my friend John Chart's last trek.
