A same-sex couple have appealed to people to help them start a family, claiming there is no support. Megan Parry-Willis and Leah Parry-Willis, who have been together for 13 years, are desperate to raise £3,000 for the fertility treatment they need.

The couple say the time is right to have a child of their own. But for Megan to get pregnant through a sperm donor and artificial insemination, they claim that as a lesbian couple they have no choice but to go down the private route first.
