Sam Heughan says he went commando on a glacier while filming in New Zealand

Sam Heughan appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new book with Graham McTavish. The Balmaclellan-born actor 43, is currently set to release his third book, Clanlands in New Zealand: Kiwis, Kilts, and an Adventure Down Under, with Outlander co-star Graham McTavish, 62.

The actors have previously worked together on two other books - 'The Clanlands Almanac: Seasonal Stories from Scotland' and 'Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other' - as well as their travel show Men In Kilts.During his appearance on the popular US talk show, the Jamie Fraser actor made an X-rated confession when discussing his travels in New Zealand.

Discussing the book, Fallon pulled up a photo of the two Scottish actors posing in kilts on top of a glacier. The US star said: "So you're sticking with the kilts, here is the pair of you in kilts on a glacier." As Heughan quipped: "That's me in New Zealand, on a glacier in commando.

I claim to be the first person in commando on a glacier. I went all the way just to do that."Speaking about the book, he said: "We went to New Zealand and it's this amazing place.
