Sam Asghari Reacts to Britney Spears' Knife Videos, Reveals the 'Strange' Aspect of Their Time Together

Sam Asghari is sharing more about his life with ex wife Britney Spears. The 30-year-old The Traitors contestant and Britney got married in June of 2022.

He filed for divorce in August 2023. On Nick Viall‘s “The Viall Files” podcast, he was asked about their time together. Keep reading to find out more… They met on the set of her 2016 music video for “Slumber Party” and agreed to meet up for a date afterwards. Sam shared, “I got to know her a little bit, and she was super sweet and everything was perfect.

And then after that, I think we went to a movie. We kept seeing each other for a very long time.” He noted that their romance was “very traditional.” He said their relationship was in the “right place, right time” and it was “meant to be.” He continued, “This is a seven-year-long relationship, and it’s the longest I’ve been in a relationship with somebody, and it’s the longest she’s ever been in a relationship with somebody.” He added about what was strange for him, “But, you know, we had to deal with — she was under the conservatorship, and that was very strange for me to deal with.

I got hit with that at the beginning…I wanted to be the normal part about that life because she never, I don’t think she had that.” Nick also asked him about Britney‘s infamous knife dancing videos, one of which you can see below. Sam said, “I’m not someone that’s ‘Let me, let me take your phone from you and not allow you to do anything and restrict you from posting your own content.’ And, and especially if you’re an artist, I think, you know, we’re talking about she’s a genius artist.
