Sally Field delved into some of the major films she turned down throughout her career in a new interview, including the hit 1996 comedy The First Wives Club.The 76-year-old actress — who currently stars alongside the recently retired Tom Brady in the comedy 80 For Brady — admitted to People that she opted not to join the cast of the film despite one of its eventual stars, Goldie Hawn, begging her to sign on to it.The film ultimately starred the trio of Hawn, Bette Midler and Diane Keaton, but Field didn't specify if she would have originally appeared in the place of Midler or Keaton, or if the core trio would have been expanded to a quartet.According to Field, she worried she wouldn't fit in with the rest of the leads, whom she described as too 'musical' for her to keep up. 'Goldie really wanted me to do it.
Maybe it would have been fun, but they were all so musical, and I'm not,' she said. 'And the movie wouldn't have been the same.'
