Sign up to FREE email alerts from the Northern Agenda Former Chancellor Sajid Javid has been appointed as the new Health Secretary following the resignation of Matt Hancock tonight.
Mr Javid previously served as Home Secretary from 2018 to 2019, and then as Chancellor of the Exchequer until February last year, when he was replaced by current incumbent Rishi Sunak.
