A Sainsbury's supermarket was targeted in a 2am cash machine raid. Two thieves struck at the store in Warrington after lying in wait for up to two hours.
The attack happened on April 30 but details were only released today. A dark grey car parked near the front of the shop in Church Street.
The vehicle had been in and around Sainsbury's from about midnight. Two men then got out of the car and the pair broke into the store after making a hole in the building.
Once inside the building they attacked an ATM machine and stole wads of cash. The men were a the scene for an hour, leaving just before 3am.
