Khan has been lauded for implementing free school meals for all primary school pupils in London. However, his expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (Ulez) has sparked controversy.
The scheme, which imposes a daily charge on drivers of the most polluting vehicles, was extended to cover all 33 boroughs of Greater London last August.
