The Geordie duo, who have presented the show for a whopping 22 years struggled to wrestle with their emotions as they shared a behind the scenes clip of the final rehearsal ahead of the star-studded spectacular, which would serve as a fitting end to their show.
In the clip, the pair were seen beside their usual studio sign as the final preparations were underway, with Ant looking to his best pal to say: “So rehearsals are underway for the last Saturday Night Takeaway.
You alright there?” An emotional Dec then responded: “I’m OK. Getting through it,” although he looked visibly upset at the end of an era.
