Presenting legends Ant and Dec are working on a brand-new TV project according to the Mirror, just after their show Saturday Night Takeaway ended after 20 years on air.
Details haven’t been disclosed yet, but the pair have trademarked the name Belta Box for the upcoming plan. It appears Ant and Dec will be paying homage to their hometown of Newcastle as Belta means excellent in the North East A source told the publication: "Everything Ant and Dec does turns to gold and this is sure to be another success." Mitre Studios also owns trademarks for Ant and Dec’s ITV game show Limitless Win and online show Taste Mates.The firm said: “Taste Mates and Belta Box are digital projects that will tap into the Mitre core values of being fun and engaging.” Ant and Dec announced their show Saturday Night Takeaway would be going on hiatus last year with their final show airing on Saturday 13 April.The Geordie pair lined up a huge show with lots of celebrity appearances, the final Ant vs Dec and the biggest end of the show show, ever.
As the show came to an end, Dec said: "When we started this back in 2002, we thought we'd be lucky if we got to do this for maybe a couple of years, so what's happened has honestly been beyond our wildest dreams. "We have truly adored every second of making this show, but there's one thing we've never, ever forgotten, and that's the fact that it's not our show, it's your show, so we'd like to say a massive thank you to you, our incredible audience." While Ant and Dec stepped away from their show, they were seen the following week on Britain’s Got Talent where they are also the hosts.
