Rylan Clark has revealed the true reason for his Celebrity Gogglebox absence last year.The presenter, 33, appeared on Friday's episode (June 10) of This Morning alongside his mother Linda.Speaking with presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, Linda was asked by Alison how she was feeling after it was reported last year that Linda's struggle with Crohn's Disease had caused her and Rylan to miss out on one season of the voyeuristic Channel 4 show.Alison said: "There was a little bit of a break. You wasn't very well, Linda, how are you now?"In response, Linda said: "Well, it wasn't me that wasn't well."Linda then looked at her son Rylan, who added: "It wasn't [mum], it was actually me."Obviously, last year, I wasn't too well and at the time, [the excuse] was 'mum isn't too well with her Crohn's but yeah, no, it was actually me who wasn't well last year."Rylan later added: "She's always taking the fall for her son."It's so nice to be back to Gogglebox as well.

Rylan Clark is set to make a return to This Morning on Friday (June 10). Fans of the ITV daytime show may remember the BBC Radio 2 presenter being a regular host on the show as well as regularly working alongside Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
