Wrexham secured a return to the Football League after a 15-year absence when they beat Boreham Wood in front of an ecstatic Racecourse crowd last weekend.
Phil Parkinson's men came from a goal down to earn the three points they needed to claim the National League title and see off the threat of closest challengers Notts County who have pushed them all the way.
Both sides have broken the previous points record for the division but with only one automatic promotion spot available, the Magpies will now have to tackle the play-offs.
For Wrexham, a return to League Two awaits and there is plenty of optimism in North Wales that the momentum generated since the takeover of the club by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney can continue.
