Ruth Langsford has paid tribute to her mum Joan on social media, who turned 90 on Friday 17 December. In a series of snaps shared on Instagram, Ruth can be seen sat beaming beside her mother as they both enjoyed a glass of bubbly.

In a second photo, the pair posed with a gift Ruth gave her mother of frame with reading: “90 mummy 17th December 1931”, alongside “happy birthday”.

Ruth, 61, captioned the sweet post: “90 years young today! Mum that is!! She is amazing….still full of life and fun and always up for a glass of fizz!

Happy Birthday Mum”. Ruth’s friends and fellow celebs have since commented a string of heartfelt messages to both her and her mum.
