Ruth Langsford has revealed her worry about her son leaving home for university in a brutally honest interview to mark her 60th birthday.

The This Morning host, 59, will celebrate the milestone birthday on Tuesday, but she said she's embracing getting older. She shares son Jack, 18, with her husband and fellow presenter Eamonn Holmes, 60.

Ruth told Hello! magazine: "I feel that we have done a really good job creating this lovely young man who we are now sending off into the world for his own adventures, which is very exciting. "But we will both miss him hugely, I can't imagine what it will be like not to see him every day. "It will be just Eamonn and I.
