Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary this year, but their love story started almost a decade before.

Sparks flew when the pair were introduced in 1997 by their mutual friend, TV presenter Sally Meen back when Eamonn was a GMTV host and Ruth - who turns 61 today - had just moved to London to break into mainstream television from satellite shows.
