Ruby Franke‘s family are breaking their silence about her arrest. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the 8 Passengers creator had been arrested and charged with two counts of child abuse.

She and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt were taken into custody after a neighbor called about a child who came to their house looking for food and water. Ruby‘s sisters Elle Mecham, Bonnie Hoellein and Julie Deru released a joint statement on their respective Instagram accounts on Thursday (August 31) in response to the news.
