The Royal Family have shared a moving tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the second anniversary of her death.The Queen passed away on 8 September 2022 at her Balmoral Estate in Scotland.
After a record-breaking 70-year reign, Her Majesty was laid to rest at King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle, alongside her late husband Prince Philip.
To mark the second anniversary of Elizabeth II's passing, the Royal Family posted a photograph of her on social media along with a tribute.
In the photo, taken in May 2019, Her Majesty can be seen beaming while sporting a pink jacket and matching hat.The picture was taken at the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.The family wrote: “Remembering Queen Elizabeth II, 1926-2022.” Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer also shared a message on social media to mark the anniversary.The politician wrote: “Today marks two years since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.The late Queen’s dedication to the UK and Commonwealth taught us that whatever challenges our country faces, the value of service always endures.
