Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are rumoured to be celebrating Christmas in the UK with their children this year but it won't be with the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly received an invite from Harry's uncle, Charles, Earl Spencer, to spend the festive season at Althorp House.
Should they accept, it would be Meghan's first significant return to the UK since she attended the late Queen's funeral in 2022.
However, sources suggest that an invitation to join the Royal Family's traditional Sandringham Christmas has not been extended to the couple, and even if it were, it's unlikely they would attend, OK!
reports.A source disclosed to the Express: "Charles [Spencer] has invited Harry, Meghan and the children to Althorp this Christmas," but also noted: "It's far too early to say whether they will take him up on it, but the offer is there if they want it."The insider also revealed: "There hasn't been an invitation extended to Sandringham just yet, but that doesn't mean there won't be one forthcoming."Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're in!If you're on a desktop, simply scan the QR code above with your phone and click 'Join Community'.We also treat our community members to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners.
