Lewis Capaldi after the singer cancelled all his work commitments amid his mental health struggles. The Scottish superstar, 26, recently opened up about his health in new Netflix documentary, How I'm Feeling Now, and has since announced he's taking time out 'rest and recover' ahead of his performance at Glastonbury.
Radio presenter Roman, 30, praised Lewis for 'setting great example' and 'being honest with fans' after he pulled out of this weekend's Capital's Summertime Ball.
Speaking in an interview with The Sun on Friday, he explained: 'It’s so important people realise it’s ok to take time out and look after yourself and your mental wellbeing - so somebody like Lewis who is so honest and open with fans can make a real difference. 'But it’s so brave to speak out, especially when you are at the very top of your game like he is. 'Roman continued: 'There’s an assumption that if you’re very successful and things are going well you can’t struggle with mental health, but that just isn’t true.
He’s setting a great example to people and I wish him all the best. Earlier this week, Lewis explained that he needs time off to focus on his health in the run up to Britain's biggest music festival, meaning he will miss out on performing at other shows.
