Roman Kemp has opened up on the alarming health concern that might force him to retire from showbiz. The breakfast show presenter on Capital, also well known as Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp's son, made a name for himself being vocal about mental health issues in the country and emphasising the importance of asking for help.
Following the death of his close friend Joe Lyons, Roman spoke bravely about supporting friends live on air. He urged men not to suppress their feelings after he expressed regret for not realising his friend was struggling with his mental health.
Roman bared his heart out in an interview on This Morning saying: "If I had been [a hero] he would be here. I want people to be a hero to their friend like I know I wasn't to mine.
It's OK to look at yourself and think what more could I have done." Roman revealed in his memoir Are You Really OK? he had battled depression since he was a teenager and disclosed that it was his mum who suggested he consult a doctor when he was 15.
