Robin van Persie has revealed that he once recommended Arsenal sign Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini while Arsene Wenger was in charge.

Retired Dutch forward Van Persie spent eight years at Arsenal before controversially moving to Manchester United in 2012. The Gunners began to wain at the back towards the end of Van Persie’s time at the Emirates Stadium.
