Robert Downey Jr. Very Involved With Developing Character for 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Robert Downey Jr. is getting ready to make his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The 59-year-old Oscar winner famously played Iron Man in the franchise for over a decade before his character passed away in 2019′s Avengers: Endgame.

However, in July 2024 it was revealed that he would be returning for 2026′s Avengers: Doomsday playing Doctor Doom. Robert will also be back the following year in Avengers: Secret Wars.

In a new interview, directors and brothers Joe and Anthony Russo opened up about the prep that is going on behind the scenes to get the character ready.
