Naman Ramachandran The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) has unveiled the nominations for its 14th International Awards, with Michael Gracey’s Robbie Williams biopic “Better Man” securing six nods.
The film earned nominations for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, along with acting nominations for its cast. “The Brutalist” follows with five nominations, including a Best Supporting Actor nod for Australian actor Guy Pearce. “Emilia Perez,” which has already received Golden Globe recognition, earned four nominations, while “Anora” and “Dune: Part Two” round out the Best Film category.
George Miller received a Best Director nomination for “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” while fellow Australians Toni Collette and Nicole Kidman earned acting nominations for their performances in “Juror #2” and “Babygirl” respectively.
In television categories, “Shogun” received three nominations, matching “The Bear,” which competes in the Best Comedy Series category.
