But on July 17, 1995, Robbie Williams broke the hearts of teenage girls across the UK when he announced his departure from Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange.
After joing the Fab Five when he was just 16, Robbie quickly established his reputation as the joker of the band. But as the ravages of fame took hold of a teenage Robbie, he spiralled into destruction which was starting to impact the rest of the band.
Things imploded when he failed to turn up at rehearsals back in 1995 and instead spent a raucous weekend at Glastonbury with his new pals, the Gallagher brothers.
