Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Rio Ferdinand reckons Manchester United have to do more than beat lower-ranked teams to emerge winners in a fierce race for top four this season.
Goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford settled the scores for United on Wednesday night as they swept aside Brentford in the Premier League at the Community Stadium.
Over 100 miles north, though, Tottenham underlined their own charge for Champions League qualification with an eye-catching, last-gasp victory over Leicester City.
Steven Bergwijn scored twice in injury time to complete that stunning - and historic - comeback in the 97th minute. Tottenham still have to visit Old Trafford (on March 12) this campaign and fourth-placed West Ham are also poised to meet United at the same venue next up on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
