Rio Ferdinand reckons Manchester United have to do more than beat lower-ranked teams to emerge winners in a fierce race for top four this season.

Goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford settled the scores for United on Wednesday night as they swept aside Brentford in the Premier League at the Community Stadium.

Over 100 miles north, though, Tottenham underlined their own charge for Champions League qualification with an eye-catching, last-gasp victory over Leicester City.

Steven Bergwijn scored twice in injury time to complete that stunning - and historic - comeback in the 97th minute. Tottenham still have to visit Old Trafford (on March 12) this campaign and fourth-placed West Ham are also poised to meet United at the same venue next up on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
