Rio Ferdinand has backed Marcus Rashford to enjoy a successful season at Manchester United. The attacker looked bereft of confidence last term amid the club’s struggles and was criticised for looking disinterested and forlorn.
However, he looks to have rediscovered his form in pre-season under Erik ten Hag. It is the first time for a number of years that Rashford has enjoyed an injury-free summer, which has allowed for a beneficial pre-season.

Speaking on YouTube show FIVE, Ferdinand admitted that the player’s body language indicated that he didn’t seem happy last season, but that this has now changed.
