Rio Ferdinand is backing Raphael Varane to shine at Manchester United but has raised concerns over his ability to adapt to the Premier League.
The Red Devils have agreed a £35million fee for the services of the Real Madrid defender, who is expected to be officially unveiled by the club next week.
Varane will almost certainly act as Harry Maguire's new defensive partner as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side look to challenge for the Premier League title.
The 28-year-old centre-back will bring a wealth of experience to Old Trafford and looks set to finally be on his way to United, having previously come close to joining.
