The losing streak is over. Manchester City registered their first win in three games with a 3-1 win over Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig on Wednesday night following back-to-back defeats to Newcastle United and Wolves in the Carabao Cup and Premier League.
Phil Foden had opened the scoring midway through the first half before the hosts responded against the run of play through Lois Openda shortly after the break.
While City had dominated much of the game it had looked as though they may struggle to find a winner before Julian Alvarez finally settled nerves with a fine strike six minutes from at the Red Bull Arena before fellow substitute Jeremy Doku wrapped up the win in stoppage time.
