Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May are gearing up to say goodbye with one epic final episode of The Grand Tour titled, One for the Road. The trio embark on one last adventure and drive across the dangerous Zimbabwe desert in their dream cars. There are emotional moments for the lads, and for Richard, a near-death experience too.The star, who had a horrifying crash in 2006 while filming BBC’s Top Gear, revealed he once again feared for his life in the driving series.Talking about one particular scene in the finale where he attempts to cross the dangerous terrain in his car, Richard confessed, “I thought I was going to die.” As Jeremy reminisced about his 22 year-long career with Richard and James, he spoke about his most terrifying moment which came in the Bolivia episode where he tackled a track known as ‘Death Road’.The star said, “I remember my children were watching and they said ‘we’re nervous and you’re sitting right next to us on the sofa so we know you definitely made it’”.
And that’s not all Jeremy said about the accidents on the show. When it came to Richard, he joked, “Richard almost never took his own trousers off, it was always a paramedic.” The trio also gave some big spoilers as to what to expect from their final episode that airs on Friday 13 September on Prime Video.
Not too surprisingly, Jeremy said, “We pick some unsuitable cars.” However, the strangest thing the three did for their final run was to be nice to each other.
Richard added, “I was nice to James over the radio and it was met with silence.” Even the crew weren’t expecting the stars to change their ways.
