Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Richard Ashcroft announces acoustic album Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1 featuring Liam Gallagher

Richard Ashcroft has announced the release of a new solo album, Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1, this October. The record will see the Verve frontman deliver acoustic takes of many of his classic songs from both his time in the band and as a solo artist, including Bittersweet Symphony (out now) and the UK Number 1 single The Drugs Don't Work.

Ashcroft will also collaborate with Liam Gallagher on a stripped-back take of C’mon People (We’re Making It Now). Acoustic Hymns Vol.

1 will be released October 29 via RPA/BMG. The singer-songwriter will also tour in support of the new material, including four sold-out nights at the London Palladium.
