Chloe Madeley has candidly shared that her famous parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, have faced their fair share of challenges during their 38-year marriage.
The couple, who first crossed paths while working at ITV Granada Television in the 1980s, tied the knot in 1986 and went on to enjoy a successful television career together.Now, their daughter Chloe, a personal trainer, has given an insight into their enduring relationship, revealing the secret to their longevity as she contemplates her own romantic future following her split from ex-husband James Haskell in October 2023.
Speaking to Closer magazine about her parents' marital success, Chloe said: "They would honestly say the same thing - that the secret to them having such a long marriage is to not get divorced."She added: "They've been together for over 40 years and during that time there have been periods where they have really struggled, but they kept going and stayed together.
I don't think it was ever bad enough for them to split."Chloe also took the opportunity to praise her parents, describing them as setting a "pretty gold standard" and acknowledging that she "really hit the jackpot" with her upbringing.
