Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress. From 2011 to 2017, she played Rachel Zane on the American legal drama Suits. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Most recently, the 64-year-old has praised the Duchess of Sussex for her level of respect towards the monarchy, comparing two pictures of Meghan and the late Princess of Wales, Diana.Posting an image of the pair on her Instagram stories to her 3.3 million followers, she captioned the post: “RESPECT IT WHAT IT IS,” Sharon seemed to retaliate against the backlash Meghan has received in the media.The image was of the Duchess of Sussex and Diana both dressed in similar black belted coats and hats.
