Residents on a cul-de-sac hit by Evri parcel mystery days before Christmas

Residents on a cul-de-sac were knocking on each other's doors and left confused after a number of Evri parcels failed to be delivered in Wythenshawe on Monday (December 18).

Parcels that were due to reach customers days before Christmas had been marked as delivered, but a number of disgruntled people in the area claimed they never actually received them.

Instead, many appeared to have been sent the exact same photo as proof of delivery. Evri, the courier, had initially said they were 'looking into' what happened to the parcels in a statement to the M.E.N, however later confirmed they had been 'scanned in error' and that they would be delivered on Wednesday (December 20). Hayley Crossland, who had spent £100 on gifts for her child, said her other neighbours living in the Littlewood Road cul-de-sac had 'gone out looking' and knocking on each other's doors after receiving the same notification at the same time.
