Holly Willoughby hit with 'double blow' in BBC axe just days before Dancing on Ice comeback

Holly Willoughby has been dealt a major double blow ahead of her big TV comeback this month.The 42-year-old co-host, who disappeared from screens back in October to take a break from the spotlight, is set to host this year's series of Dancing on Ice with her old pal Stephen Mulhern.The reality TV show launches in just a few weeks time and will be Holly's first gig back since quitting her This Morning role last year "for me and my family" following the Philip Schofield scandal.However, it's not all good news for Holly work-wise with new reports hinting that her BBC hosting gig on Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof has been cancelled after just one series, the Mirror reports.In addition to this, Holly is not the only person in her household who will be impacted by the BBC show's axe as her husband Dan Baldwin is the co-founder of Hungry Bear Media which are the production company behind Freeze the Fear.Discussing the show's cancellation, an insider claims it will be forcing Holly to re-think her long-term career prospects.

The source told The Sun: "This bad news caps off what's been an extremely difficult year for Holly, which has seen her drastically reassess her life and career. "Having Freeze the Fear axed reduces her options and leaves a question mark over where she goes next after leaving her biggest gig as co-host of This Morning. "It's also disappointing for her husband Dan, who runs the production company Hungry Bear that made the show."
