Reo Hatate is said to be 'in talks' with Celtic over a new deal at the Scottish champions. It comes as the Japanese star is due to make his return to action after being injured for the champions at Pittodrie last month.
Hatate was on the shortlist for Brendan Rodgers to get fresh terms penned after Liel Abada followed suit, committing his future to Parkhead before he suffered a knock.
The midfielder did have transfer interest in the summer but the Hoops kept a hold of their star man who is still under contract until 2026.Now the Mail Online report talks are open for the 25-year-old who the Hoops wanted to pen new terms at the same time as Abada when he signed up earlier this month.
The report claims Hatate 'asked' for talks to be placed on hold due to lingering interest in his services during the window.
