But the Motherwell boss is aiming to use the lessons from a steep learning curve after being thrown into the deep end as co-boss at Ross County to prove pupil can become master tomorrow.
Celtic’s visit will rekindle the memory of a Parkhead day of misery in charge of the Staggies in 2018 that ended with words of wisdom from Rodgers.
Kettlewell said: “One of my first games after I’d taken over at Ross County was at Celtic Park. We lost our goalkeeper, we lost a penalty and we had a player sent off and lost 3-0.
