Japanese star Hatate - who signed a new, long-term deal at the club last week - was the stand-out performer. Rodgers hailed the midfielder's display but warned him that if he’s going to reach the top, he can’t let his standards slip.
Hatate was below par in Wednesday night’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Lazio.But he was back to his best against Killie and Rodgers wants him to stay there.
He said: “This was the first game that Reo has come alive for me. He scored a brilliant goal and was superb. I went through things with him the other day.
