15, 2021, the streamer announced Friday. Regina King makes her feature directing debut with Amazon's adaptation of Kemp Power's stage hit inspired by the 1964 encounter of four giants of sports, music and activism with conflicting perspectives on the Black struggle.
The movie is set on the night in 1964 when 22-year-old Cassius Clay took the world heavyweight title. While crowds of people swarm Miami Beach to celebrate the match, Clay is unable to stay on the island because of Jim Crow-era segregation laws.
