The Swiss frontman has had a stop/start beginning to his Rangers career with injuries curtailing his wish to get a consistent run of games under his belt.
But he will get a confidence boost after his brilliant volley against Motherwell won the league's award, being chosen in more than 50 per cent of all votes.
And he beat Ryan Kent to the prize with the winger's goal against Dundee United finishing in second place. It was a month where there were plenty of contenders for the award with goals from the likes of Julian Serrano, Allan Campbell, Callum McGregor and Lawrence Shankland.
