A rebel churchman has vowed to risk jail to make a stand against Scotland’s drug deaths. Rev Brian Casey claims he knows of at least seven other Church of Scotland ministers who are prepared to support an illegal drug consumption van when it hits Glasgow’s streets later this month.
Running a property for the purpose of using drugs carries a sentence of up to 14 years but activist Peter Krykant is customising a van where heroin injectors will be able to do so safely.
Ex-addict Peter is backed by Rev Casey and former MP Paul Sweeney . Cops are said to have a contingency plan to deal with the van.
