Rebekah Vardy accused of lying on the witness stand during Wagatha Christie trial
msn.com“Wagatha Christie” trial in which Vardy is suing Coleen Rooney for libel has entered its third day with the wife of the Leicester City striker being cross-examined in court.
David Sherborne, the lawyer representing Rooney, accused Vardy of changing her story in relation to a photograph taken at the 2018 World Cup.
The court heard that Vardy initially claimed she had not orchestrated a paparazzo to take the photograph, before admitting that she was in discussion with her agent about selling a pre-organised picture to The Sun.
Her witness statement previously said that she “did not inform a photographer about the location of the dinner” at the 2018 World Cup in St Petersburg, where the partners of footballers including Harry McGuire’s girlfriend Fern Hawkins and Marcus Rashford’s partner Lucia Los joined Vardy for a night out.
