Meghan Markle stayed in LA as her husband Prince Harry travelled back to the United Kingdom to visit his father King Charles, after it was announced that he had been diagnosed cancer.
The former Suits actress remained at home in California with the couple's two children, Archie and Lilibet. Some believe that Meghan may have felt this was a journey Harry needed to make alone, writes The Express.
Grant Harrold, who previously worked as a butler for King Charles, suggested to the New York Post: "Meghan made the decision that it was best to stay home with the children, and maybe she feels that this is something Harry has got to do alone." He added: "It's his father.
She's aware of the close relationship and probably encouraged him to come over."Grant has predicted that Meghan may join Harry in the UK soon.He said: "I'm sure at some point they will bring the grandchildren over, that might be part of what's being discussed - an opportunity for them to come over as a family."However, Meghan once vowed never to return to England, says Royal author Omid Scobie. He claimed that she "never felt at home" in the UK and that Meghan "never wants to set foot again in England."But this could change with the recent news of King Charles' cancer diagnosis.Charles was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate last month and spent three days in hospital.During his treatment, doctors discovered another unrelated issue which was later identified as cancer.A source close to the royals said that Charles personally informed his son about his health condition."The duke did speak with his father about his diagnosis.
