Amanda Abbington has left Strictly Come Dancing after just five weeks on the show.The actress quit the BBC dance competition, with It Takes Two host Fleur East confirming that the Sherlock actress and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice will not be back to dazzle fans on screen again due to medical reasons.The news comes as Amanda was noticeably absent from the Halloween week, reports the Mirror.In a statement read out on It Takes Two on Monday, Fleur said: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition.

The show wishes her all the best for the future."Fleur then sent her well wishes to the actress, playing Amanda and Giovanni's best bits on the show.The exact reason has not been yet confirmed, however, the star had medical issues last week.

And though the Mr Selfridge actress has yet to publicly speak about her exit from the show, but Giovanni has broken his silence following the shock news.

In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "Amanda .. I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love @amanda_abbington74 @bbcstrictly."Amanda's fiancé Jonathan Goodwin shared a cryptic post on social media on Monday.He had posted a photo of himself, writing alongside it: "We can be so hard on ourselves...be our own worst critics...
