Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has now confirmed some fresh career news after teasing fans for months. The big reveal comes after the dancer was forced to leave the BBC One dance contest during its 2023 run.
Giovanni left the competition last week after his celebrity dance partner Amanda Abbington confirmed she couldn't continue. The actress would have been due to return to the ballroom on Saturday night (October 28) for the show's annual Halloween special after missing last weekend's show due to "medical reasons".
However, it was announced before the latest live show that Amanda would be leaving the competition due to "personal reasons".
The Sherlock star later said: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue."
